DAWN OF THE CRESCENT MOON

Excited to announce that I’ve joined the cast of Dawn of the Crescent Moon as “Mara’s Father!”

The story revolves around five college students who travel to a small Texas town to uncover the Legend of Blood Lake – an obscure folktale spawned by the massacre of a Comanche village in the 1800s. As the legend goes, evil spirits protect a sacred horde of gold that lies beneath the lake. Production begins this October!

Looking forward to another great Texas horror film production. Thanks to writer/producers Kevin Coleman and Kirk Loudon, Mark Sikes and Dolores Jackson Casting.

ANTHONY MICHAEL HALL

I’m excited to announce that I will be bringing in Anthony Michael Hall (Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Dead Zone) as a special guest for my horror film festival SplatterFest.

He will be signing autographs, doing a Q&A, and we will have a special night of screenings. We’ve once again teamed up with the Alamo Drafthouse Mason Park, where all of the events will take place. Hall will be here for one day only Oct. 6th. VIP tickets will be available soon on the SplatterFest site (which give priority access). The festival runs Oct. 2-6th.

I’m looking forward to another great year at SplatterFest!

SCREAM QUEEN: ROXY VANDIVER

Houston’s own channel 39 features scream queen Roxy Vandiver. Star of my horror/comedy Spirit Camp, Roxy has built a cult following of loyal fans… even Anthony Michael Hall (yes, that Anthony Michael Hall) bought a photograph I took of Roxy at last weeks Texas Frightmare Weekend!

TEXAS FRIGHTMARE WEEKEND: WRAPUP

With over 20,000 in attendance, this was by far, the biggest Texas Frightmare Weekend ever. Celebrities included Anthony Michael Hall, Norman Reedus, Earnest Borgnine, Traci Lords, Tony Todd, Tom Savini, Verne Troyer, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and the list goes on…

But the best part?

Reconnecting with old friends, and making new ones.  Horror movies tend to get a bad wrap in certain circles, but its a tight-nit community of passionate, creative, eclectic individuals, and Texas Frightmare is like a family reunion.

I’ll be looking forward to next year, and hopefully I’ll have a new movie on Bluray or DVD to promote!

Thanks to Loyd Cryer for coordinating this event and bringing us all together, the staff at TFW, and to all those who stopped by my booth to say hello and support Spirit Camp. It’s a thrill to be a part of this community.
